Sorry, no. You'd have to convert them to quicktime or m4v or mp4 or something like that.iPhone 3G
Please read again I only give one warning - thanks!

Unless there is a widget that I'm unaware of, through Installer, then you cannot play WMV files DIRECTLY on your iPhone. If the videos are very important, then you can try handbeak.com, I've heard it has a great user interface.
(: Hope this helps.

Now you can. Try NO LINKS EDIT they will convert all your video media (wmv, avi, mpg, mpeg) attached to your hotmail or gmail account to mp4 format so you can watch them in your iPhone.

Vlc didn't work for me, but mplayer did an ok job. Could at least watch them, but ads and inability to rotate phone sucks

VLC for iPhone now also plays wmv attachments in regular iphone email. I just watched one.
After the file is downloaded, and u click on the name of the video, you will be asked how you want to open it. If you've installed VLC on your iPhone, VLC should be one of your options.

XBMC does a great job playing wmv files and a lot of other formats.
It has a beautiful UI and btw works really well on the ATV2 as well
Just add "http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/ios/" to your cydia sources and install

Not exactly until the files are converted to iPhone supported format. For that consider using handbrake, but if your videos are large enough and takes too long you may consider one of the converter program available.
