Hi there,

Not sure if this is a complete pipedream but i'm in an office on oxford st and can detect the local 'streetnet' (free wifi connection), with my ipod touch - but i can't connect properly.

I'm getting IP 169.254.189.211 and Subnet mask 255.255.0.0 - but no router/DNS - which i'm pretty sure means no dice/connection.

is there anything i can play around with like: BootP, Static connections, or HTTP Proxy?

Does the ipod touch have issues with connecting to wifi hotspots - and if so, is this a hardware or software problem?

Any advice much appreciated. Thanks

This should work OK with the iPod Touch

Have a look HERE! and see what it says - Its not iPod or iPhone but who knows it might help you
