Has anyone tried to replace the iPhone screen with a 15 inch touch screen? I have a couple 1st gen iPhones that would be really nice to use around the house as email and web browser, but they need a bigger screen.

Yeah, one of the screens would be idle no matter what

Even if you could connect the screen to the iPhone, write a driver for the screen, get a new graphics card, write a driver for that graphics card, get a big enough battery for the screen to function, then...well then I guess it would work.

how about making it .5" bigger and making the phone a tiny bit thinner . I think that would be great

I don't think it could come out to be 15 inches. I'm pretty sure you'll need a highly detailed graphics card because from a small screen like the iPhone.. wait. I don't know. It might be possible..

Okay first you need to replace the screen...good luck jamming a 15 inch screen in 3.5 inches of space. Need a better graphics chip, better battery and logic board to support that, need to rewrite a bit of the firmware so the images appear bigger. And thats just to start.
