Question about losing contacts.
I recently took my iphone in and got it switched out at the apple store. They asked me if I had my iphone backed up, and I did. I went home and restored it and didn't have any of my backups. I think there might be a problem because I may have upgraded to 2.0 before restoring it, and my back up was on 1.1.4. So my question is, will my contacts be in the back up on the 1.1.4 one? Is it worth it to restore my phone back to 1.1.4 and upload the earliest back up that I have? Will my contacts be back on it? Thanks.

yes..itunes backs up your contacts everytime you do a sync...even if you last synced with 1.1.4...when you connect your 2.0 in, itunes will ask you if you want to set it up using your back up or set it up as a new phone..just choose your back up...GoodLuck.

there are some issues i believe with upgrading to 2.0 and then syncing from your 1.1.4 backup.
you can try it, but any problems then restore and set up as new phone.
your contacts are saved on your system somewhere, in XP in start>all programmes> accessories > address book
and mac just simply address book
and vista, cannot remember for the life of me?? vista sucks anywaysThe Original Autobot of MMiJesus couldn't turn into a fire engine
