Is it safe to upgrade to 2.0 (First Gen)??

If so, what method should i use?
And if not, whats wrong with it.
I tried upgradeing on an unlpocked phone before the update and i was freaking out when i couldnt unlock it and it kept rebooting, DOTN DONT DONT DONT wanna have same problem, so im just amking sure its 100% safe

I bought a 3G....so decided to play with my first-gen.

I upgraded to 2.0, used Pwnage to jailbreak and unlock it for the fun of it. Was pretty easy and everything works perfect.

Yeah I have a first gen iphone, ugraded it to 2.0, jailbreaked it and I havent had any problems yet
