Default Prevent iTunes from backing up?
Is there a way to skip or bypass or just disable the backup feature on iTunes? Its backing up my iphone before it syncs and its gonna take about 2-3 hours to do.

defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool true

use that to deactivate the backup feature

note: to activate it again, just change that to false... just remember , if you cancelled a backup before, u probably have a corrupted backup file, so .. if u ever need to use that backup, there's gonna be problems

^^^ yeah the new one does. it now uses an incremental backup to do the job better. also to cancel it just cancel the sync ON THE PHONE right when you plug it in. that worked for me when i was using the old itunes and firmware

There are some setting in the itunes preferences about backing up the phone. I remember having the option to turn backups off.
