    Default 3G and Edge support

    I haven't gotten my 3G iPhone and I don't know where else to post this so he it goes. Hopefully someone can help me.

    With the 2.0 firmware on the 3G iPhone, if I am in a 3G area and move out of it, will Edge automatically connect? I ask this because I was with a friend of mine and I was in a 3G area and then all of a sudden it kicked out and Edge never took over?

    Yes, if there's no 3G, it will drop to EDGE, if there's no EDGE it will drop to GPRS. Your friend may have gone into an area where nothing was available.

    Thats what I figured. I just questioned it because we were outside and there wasn't anything that I would have imagined to have any interference problems.
