Has anyone changed their iPhone 3g order from black to white?

From searching online, it seems that the white iPhone 3g devices are shipping MUCH faster than black, so my friend is trying to change his order. He hasn't been able to get ahold of ATT yet, so while I'm waiting, I wanted to ask if anyone here has managed to do this.

Basically, the sooner he gets his iPhone 3g, the sooner I get his 1st gen......and neither of us are very patient.

Maybe.....however if his order hasnt shipped yet, then he can cancel it....then turn around and order a white one (dont know if that will make the wait much longer though).
