External Speaker/Speakerphone has blown. What do I replace?
Recently, my external speaker or speakerphone has blown and cannot play any audio at full volume anymore. I am looking for replacement parts, but no where is it listed by itself. A repair company told me that they would need to replace the frame, which would run me nearly 200 bucks with labor.
What I need to know is the part that I need to purchase in order to get back up and running with the phone. Those that have disassembled theirs will surely know what goes where. I just hope it isn't on the logic board... at that point I may as well buy a new phone.
Thanks in advance for the help!

If you're talking about the new 3G phone this should be a warranty issue. The "thought" my was blown b/c at full volume it would pop real bad and then realized I just has to adjust the volume settings on the phone in relation to the app (Pandora Radio). Also try adjusting the EQ setting in the iPod settings.

Sorry, I did not specify. This is a first-gen 8GB model.

Just make sure your speaked is actually blown before you spend some cash on a new one, sometimes on jailbroken iPhones sounds issues can come but can easily be fixed.
A Thanks is always nice =]
