My .mac (.me/mobileme) email is being delivered to my iphone. But calendar, contact and bookmarks do not sync.
I have all of the sliders in <Settings><Mail, Contacts, Calendars> set to "On". Push is enabled. My Macbook syncs with MobileMe just fine. The same problem is appearing on an unlocked 1st gen iphone on t-mobile and on a non-jailbroken (jailbreaked?) 3G.
I have deleted and recreated the email account on the phone, with no benefit.
Apple says it is because "1% of users are having problems with their email". The site also says that all other MobileMe services are working properly. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
have you synced your iphone with itunes yet? although I dont' think that affect anything, since it isn't working, it may be worth a try. other than that, i'd suggest calling apple. emailing them is useless right now as they don't care to get back to you, via email anyways
mine's working 99% properly between the web application, on my macbook and on my iphone
It still syncs fine with itunes. But when I set it to sync through the "cloud", it deletes all calendar, contact and bookmark data from the iphone (as it should) but does not repopulate from MobileMe. I am on the phone with an Apple Product Specialist now. I hope this one is more helpful than the one yesterday.
Update: Apple is saying that the problem is on their servers. My information on the servers needs to be deleted. That should be accomplished by de-registering all computers attached to the .mac account and then telling it to delete all information. I've done that, but it doesn't delete the information from the servers. After a lengthy phone call, I was told that it would have to be resolved on a chat with the MobileMe support personnel. Of course that is not possible when they are swamped. Of course, this is all still guessing that the problem will be solved by removing all the info and restoring it later.
