Low phone volume

Today i noticed that during calls the phones speaker is very low. On speaker phone its just fine. I havent done anything but add some apps today from the app store. Ive tried restarting and resetting it but its still the same. The volume is all the way up also. Any ideas?

Do you have a 3g or a 2g? My volume is also extremely low on my first gen iphone. I had an app that was on installer to increase the volume on the last firmware but can't seem to find one on cydia yet. Does anyone know of one that I'm just overlooking.

I have the 2G. It really sucks, ive had to use headphones now since the volume is so low.
