Iphone 3G stuck in recovery mode

I was restoring my 3G phone when itunes gave me " The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (6)". And now its stuck in recovery mode. Anyone know how to fix this?

Try either restoring it again or doing so in DFU mode. (Turn off iPhone. Hold both home and power button for six seconds and then release power while still holding home. This last step can take ten seconds or more, but then your computer will make a noise, showing it has recognized your iPhone.)

I dont have the 3G, but cant you just bring it back to the where you bought it and they'll replace it for you? obviously it's not hacked.

this is not really a reply, i have a problem, mmy iphone is stucked in recovery mode, i tried restoring it with firmware 2.0 up to 2.1 but it keep giving the error 1010, im really frastrated and dont know what to do anymore. The phone is not jailbroken or unlocked.

im having trouble restoring my iphone. i jailbroke it using redsnow and had no trouble with it until i plugged it back into to my computer three week later. Now its stuck in recovery mode and when i try to restore it my itunes crashes every time. Please help me.
