3g text auto correction
how do i turn this off?? as it gets a bit annoying when using sort hand text speak and it changes your words with out you realising

I found it (on another place):
You need a jailbraked iPhone of course.
Use SSH or an SFTP client to rename the directory "/System/Library/Textinput/Textinput_en.bundle/" to another name (such as "/System/Library/Textinput/Textinput_en.bundle.save/"
Restart your iPhone - that's it!

My 2nd gen 2.0 would replace "ur" with something else each time, then I reset my dictionary and it hasn't given me grief.

Auto-correction is great when your fingers hit the wrong keys, but it sucks when you really meant to type that slang, swear word, text message shortening, etc. Duck You gives you finer control over Apple's auto-correction feature when writing emails.
