    Default iPhone 3G takes 2 hours to erase settings?

    When you go to do a reset and select "Erase All Settings" it says it will take 2 hours!!!!

    Anybody tried it?? Why would it possibly take that long??

    So far it's been 3hrs and it's still not done on a 3G.

    Its formatting. If you run into problems that a restore cant fix, this starts the unit off fresh. kinda like formatting windows.....i have done it and yes it takes time.....
