Non att customer, how to buy iphone?

Now that we are all waiting for the new Iphone, how do non att customers buy the iphone?

either you buy it and cancel service, or pay the unsubsudized priced.

the unsubsudized price wont be available until later in the year according to apple. if you buy it, you will have to have the att plan for a months bill until you can cancel it and pay the ETF.

In a few weeks time, AT&T and Apple Stores will be selling a no contract iPhone for $599 or $699, depending on which model you want (8gig or 16gig). But until there is a way to unlock the phone there is no sense in getting a 3g phone at this point, unless of course, you are an AT&T customer.
