I really want to know why so many people want the app store?? I dont mind paying for apps like uXM, Streetflow but why should I pay for SwirlySpace MMS or Video Recorder I think apple should pay for them. I did pay $500 for the phone and now I have to pay more just to receive picture messages or to record my friends doing dumb ****. Im not saying they shouldnt get paid but why should the people pay for it??

You buy a Xbox 360, you pay $50 a year for Xbox Live.
Do you want your games for free?
No the dev's should get paid if they choose.

He's not saying that all apps should be free. He saying that he shouldn't pay for apps that do stuff that Apple should have included (like his examples, send MMSes or a Video Recorder).

If the developer wants to charge for those apps he should be able to.

True, but the fact most phones these days have video recording and MMS capability and the iPhone doesn't.

Lets take in the fact that the iPhone has super monkey ball, crash bandicoot, snes, ps1, and a whole load of stuff that aren't on any other phones.

My favorite personal reply when someone is telling me about something cool they have on their phone: Yeah, well mine has everything else. Kinda off-topic, but you can use that if you need an excuse for no MMS and VideoRecording.

You did research the included features on the iPhone before you bought it, right?

I am sorry but how are ANY of us to say THEY SHOULD OF included this or that who are we to DEMAND that they do this and that? THEY put out the phone and WE bought it! as is plan and simple! EVERY phone has its limitations, My treo before the iphone had them, this one does, they all do. you have to give and take. They MAY be included in the future or maybe not. They probably were NOT included because Apple could not get it just RIGHT for you to have a great experience using those apps. When they do perfect it..... we will get it, in the mean time either use a hacked app or buy one
