Question about Upgrade Eligibility
Hello, I bought my 8GB iPhone December 26, 2007. I have paid my bill on time every month and I was just wondering if I was eligible for the $199 pricing on the 3G iPhone. When i go to my AT&T account online I see this:
"This line is eligible for equipment discount pricing when you sign up for a 2-year service agreement. You can take advantage of our no-commitment pricing option, with the exception of iPhone which requires a 2-year commitment."
I am assuming that means i can get the $199 pricing?
Someone please confirm.
Thanks!

It is possible that the two different prices are for the 8gb and 16gb models.
I guess we will all find out Friday!
I am so excited I can't even sleep anymore!
lol
If I helped you out please hit Thanks!

$199 and $299 is for NEW customers OR eligible (meaning your contract is up or you only have like 2 months left on it) customers.
If you bought a first-gen iphone then you are eligible for an "early upgrade", which has an $18 upgrade fee and the phone will be $399 and $499.
And right now you WONT be able to buy one if you dont activate it with AT&T.
Got it....good.
