How to get rid of music of iphone

Hey.
Im from ireland and i use o2 in ireland.
I just bought used iphone. The only problem is that there is music on it i dont like i want to remove. I got itunes but i cant get rid of them through itunes. Also i can not make calls.
Help me please. Do i have to unlock my iphone one more time or something?

You would have to do a restore to get rid of music, and unlock to use it with your provider.

No, you would simply need to delete the contents of the ~/Media/iTunes_Control folder.

Restoring should always be a last resort, not a first one.

does it make it more complicated if the iphone was used on the mac and im using pc

If you have a PC, you can download and use iBrickr to gain access to your iPhone and delete the contents of the folder. Whether or not the phone was previously connected to a Mac or PC doesn't matter.
