No sound and "This accessory was not made for iPhone" msg

Hey guys I need some help! Today I was out and at one point I noticed my phone said No Service and was giving me a weird message. I was getting the message "iPhone in need of repair contact apple support" Also when I tried to connect my iPhone to my aux cable in the car to listen to the ipod the sound would not work as well and I got the repair message and also this message: "This accessory is not made to work with the iPhone" . I tried restoring and jailbreaking/unlocking all over again with iliberty which is what i had used the last time as well. Now I have a signal and can recieve calls but I have no sound watsoever and am still getting the error message saying "This accessory is not made to work with the iPhone" whenever i unlock my phone connect it to the dock and sometimes when i press the home button. The only time i get sound is when I connect my headphones at which point all sound works normally(edit: I also get sound when i connect to the dock but when i disconect i get the accessory message and lose sound again). i have a 16bg iphone which i bought in April, it is version 1.1.4 and it was unlocked with Ziphone the first time then 2 times w/ iliberty. The aux cable i use is a cheap one from walmart but I have never had a problem with it until today so not sure what caused it. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

Edit: I just tried connecting to the aux cable in my car again after the restore and now i get sound through the car speakers but when disconnect the cable i still have no sound

So many people have viewed this but no one replied? Has no one ever had this happen to them?

1. The message "This accessory is not made to work with the iPhone" means don't use it, you may kill your iPhone. Cables/devices made for the iPod use different voltages than the iPhone.

2. When you say there's no sound (through the speaker I'm assuming) is this true for both sound effects and audio (music)?

Hey thanks for replying first of all. The cable i am using is not made for ipods but I guess ill get a different cable anyway. Since last night I randomly stopped getting the message and now the sound works fine but yes when there was no sound neither the sound effects or the audio worked. For now the phone seems to be working ok but now my batter seems to be running out really fast for some reason. So I dont know cant figure out whats going on with the phone.

Usually that message about not being made for use with iPhone (especially if nothing is plugged in) is a sign that the flex cable is damaged. It could have been caused by moisture, a dropped phone, or using an accessory that might have shorted the cable. If the problem continues, contact one1. He has dealt with this problem on multiple occasions.
