Strange.
ZiPhone (I am using the 3.0 Mac version btw) generally doesn't grey out buttons, i.e. I can click on any of them and have to wait&see if it works. You can imagine that I don't wanna try every possible option out. However, it is able ot boot the iPhone in all different modes.

Probably I should give it a rest for a week or two and see if someone (probably JSN1 of Hackint0sh) can make an executable software fix using the FW 2.0 files. What do you think?

hahah yes it is strange but no software was givinng u any option except ziphone thats y i said well just try to boot ur phone in normal mode with ziphone see if that helps well if u wanna wait for a software well its ur choice watever u do btw man i know how u r feeling
JUST AN IDEA .
if nothing is working just try to find fw2.0 beta 1 and thenn try to update ur phone with that im sure it will get ur phone back to life
then u can jailbreak and unlock fw2.0 beta 1 but u will not get installer
im sorry man but just try ur best to get that thing to life i m pretty sure u will do it

Thank you so much for your kind words. And I mean it.

I don't think there is much sense in downloading the 2.0b1 today when the final will be released tomorrow (legally). I will also give the other method a shot.
Somehow, I must admit, I have given up hope a bit, but have told myself to keep trying for at least two weeks before I resell the thing as broken.

and yes try to contact the developer who created the horizontal theme i dont no his name but he can surely help u cuz he solved that error
well u dont have to wait too much cuz the 2.0 firmware will be released in 2 days
dont let ur hope down everything can be solved even 1011 error

Hey there,
here I am again, and here's some good news!
I managed to jailbreak&activate the thing under 1.1.4 (iTunes didn't let me restore with 2.0 - error 1603). Now the sucker works just fine as an iPod touch - god, way better than nothing.

But there's also bad news: I still got no IMEI, no ICCID, no Bluetooth, no wifi. So it iddn't actually get much better. I would like to proceed with the method you linked to in your second last post, but the required files are no longer online. I already contacted the person who supplied the method and asked him to send them to me. Will keep you posted as soon as anything happens.

No I cannot make calls because my baseband is corrupted. Also, my phone isn't unlocked (only jailbroken and activated) because I'd like to proceed with this promising method as soon as I have the needed files.
One more question: Do I need to deactivate/"rejail" the phone before I can change the firmware?

if u can get the files umm
and i think the jailbreak/unlock will be released for 2.0 in a few days so dont worry ull be all set to go with ur iphone again

While I did not have all of your problems, when I downgraded from 2.0 to 1.1.4 i lost my connection to att and could not make calls. I then used a modded version of ziphone which fixes the modem firmware. (Modem Firmware Downgrade Question (2.0 leaked firmware issue) - Mac Forums). MAKE SURE TO READ THE README!!! always check the debug button and use the repair baseband or something function.! Hope this helps, jesse

the thing is: I can't even go to 2.0 (error 1603 before it starts to install the new software and firmware.)

I will try that today anyway and post the results (right now I am busy with University, sorry for that, and thanks for the help!)

click restore it will give u an option for restore and update just click on that and let it do its thing
