Hey thanks for all this info cause im kind of new in this world but one question i have for the jailbreaking part, see i have my iphone jailbroken but im not able to see any apps! do i need to be connected through wifi or wat am i supposed to do to get some of those featuers like for example the video camera??

you use cydia to download apps, provided u installed it during jb.

I keep hearing that after upgrading the FW into the 2.1 and later, the wifi doesn't work for many. there's a whole thread about it on the simon blog.

Very helpful, would be nice to see another thread started, as this seems to be for beginners, possible next thread could be more advanced as to specifics of flashing / reflashing, loading different themes, using winterboard, or loading jailbreaking software??
just some help, i know its time consuming, but thanks for your efforts!

It will help me a lot cause last time when I went move overseas I couldn't use my iPhone there and now I will do the Jailbreak hope I can do it, if not than will get it done by other so that can use abroad.
