My iphone starts up fine but before i can press any key the dock disappears and it starts loading. The dock pops up again but then it keeps cycling. Does anyone know how to start in safe mode?
The phone will charge but it won't connect to itunes so i cant do a system restore.

Hold down the Sleep and Home buttons until the phone goes blank, or powers off. Then release the Sleep button and hold the Home button until the iTunes logo comes up, or until iTunes sees the phone.
DenisWhat, I upgraded to 1.1.2 and now my iPhone is bricked?

I have had this issue, and it turns out that if you have more than about 5 screen's full of apps, then that happens. My solution was to ssh into the phone, delete some applications (or at least move them out of the /Applications folder), reboot the phone, and then things were OK.
