I need some help, I can not change my wallpaper anymore for some reason. I go to my picture roll or whatever and choose the one that I want to use, hit change wallpaper, I get the check mark saying that it was done but when I get back to the home screen it's not changed. The last time I was able to change it effectively was within the last 2 weeks. Any ideas?
Customize 2.0 does this if you use it to change your wallpaper. Try installing the trial version of Kate via Installer, after installation of the modules you should be able to change your wallpaper once again. This happened to me last week and that's how I fixed it. You can also SSH into your phone and delete the LockBackground.jpg from the /Library folder and restart, but I have not tried this method so use at y our own risk.
You may be onto something because I was using customize within the past 2 weeks but I didn't like it so I uninstalled it. If I try the Kate method once I get it back to normal will it be okay to uninstall? I heard that the Kate program was not really recommended but I don't remember why.
^^^I had no problems with uninstalling it. Worked just fine. You can also go in via SSH and remove the RiPDev files if you choose, but not necessary at all to uninstall Kate. Just make sure you uncheck all the options and restart before uninstalling via Installer (a pop-up will also tell you to do this).
And to avoid this in the future, don't use Customize to change wallpaper. I hope that this issue is resolved soon as I learned the hard way, same as you.
Well I don't know how to SSH into my phone so I just tried the Kate install an it did work, I was able to change the wallpaper so now I'm gonna uninstall it because I don't need the app. I should still be able to change the wallpaper after that right?
