you tube problem edge/wifi/gprs

hi to all
I have recently had to do a restore due to a summerboard problem.
I am on 1.1.2 unlocked etc & everything seems to be working apart from a problem with you tube.
I can access it through wifi no problem but when I switch to edge/gprs it says you tube videos require an edge or wi-fi connection.
I only have the blue square at the top which denotes gprs I think, I'm sure this worked before but cant be 100%. I only installed the youtube fix after updating to 1.1.2 (after the unlocking etc) not sure if I should have installed the you tube fix whilst on 1.1.1
Hope someone can help.

youtube has no problem with Wifi or Edge but with gprs. The youtube fix is for another problem.
