3G iPhone -PRICE UPDATE-
I called At&t today about setting up a new contract,Anyway the sales guy told me the
8GB without a contract retails for $700.00!!! I could not believe this. he did not know what the 16GB was going for.
I don't know how accurate his price is but he seemed very sure.

Cant you just walk in as a brand new customer?
Buy the 8G for 199 with two years contract....a few weeks later..cancel the subscription..take the 175 fine. That would just cost you 375bucks and taxes.

you haven't read all the info!
at&t pays apple $325.. where do you think that will come from???
you pay $199.
you pay 175 standard cancelation.
nobody is going to give you that 325 off!
199+
175+
325=
699.

Not to mention they wouldn't do that, especially now because of the in store activation requirement. What else would someone buying the phone without a contract do with it besides unlock it?

not true what so ever. i was just in Att this morning and the regional manager was in there and he did not know anything more than what was said at WWDC. he said that they will most likely receive all the info the morning of july 11.
