"Iphone cannot make or receive calls contact apple support"???

Just one question about my iPhone. It was originally 1.1.2fw wt 4.6 btldr it was unlocked, jailbroken n running 1.1.3 fw. Operating fine till couple days ago showing this mess. "Iphone cannot make or receive calls contact apple support"!! Is it sw or hw prob?? Btw call apple supp and they told me to "restore it" via iTunes, I did but gave me 1011 err. I wondering whn got that mess. is the iPhone ussually need hw repair?? tia

Did you use ZiPhone to unlock?

hmm.. not sure about if it was unlocked by using ziphone prog. Assuming it was unlocked by ziphone??

It sounds like your baseband got corrupted.

If at first 1.1.4 fails, try restoring it with factory default 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 and then try 1.1.4.
After that try unlocking it with your favorite app.

If that does not work, put it in DFU mode and try PWN it with either WinPwn (PC) or the Pwnage Tool (MAC), using 1.1.4 as your IPSW.

I had that happen to my iPhone when I used BootNeuter the very first time...and trust me, I almost **** in my pants when I saw that error.
It's easy to fix - put your phone in recovery\DFU mode, restore factory 1.1.4 FW, PLEASE don't use ZiPhone to unlock it and use iLiberty\iDemocracy\iPlus2.0 instead.
