View iphone files from computer

Is there a program i can install on my macbook or xp machine to view the files on my iphone so i can copy it over and see it?

for a pc i use Winscp, you need ssh installed on phone & wifi. And iphone browser or an app like that if you want to do it while you are pluged into computer. Not sure about mac stuff im a PC dude
