question bout unlocking, going oversea's

im gon be going to israel, where iphones are unavailable, but after talking with my cousin over there, he tells me to bring as many as i can, as only place to buy them are from 3rd party retailers and they sell for 800-1000 in israel, which makes me believe that an unlocked phone should work fine over there, any ideas????? much thx in advance

Unlocked phone will work. You just need a sim card to whichever cell phone companies they use there. I think it's Orange, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Just a wild guess.
