Little help please

Hi all great site..
Heres my Q I have read a lot here and need a bit of help.

1. Got a 8GB that has no wifi, calling, or bluetooth and what I have read about it is the baseband I think.
Its fw 1.1.4 (4A102)

I don’t know what software was used to unlock it

Now Im thinking that I need to virgin it ( don’t know how)

What software do I need/where?
Do I need wifi working in order to virgin it.. how?
what itunes

Then unlock it/jailbreak new FW maybe.
Sorry but I need an idiots guide, or someone thats patient and could maybe chat with me while I go through the steps

Restore with itunes re-jailbreak with iliberty or some thing, anything besides ziphone(ziphone bad for phone) i beleive when you update not sure tho. you can use bootneuter to bring baseband back to newest . SEARCH HARDER NEXT TIME. uv been warned

I have these problems

first when I try to restore normaly in itunes i get this



and then if I do the hold shift button and choose 1.1.1 firmware



So thanks for your help but as you can see I can't restore my phone as yet..
What can I do?

You need to update the iPhone software before you can restore it. And this also means you need to be connected to the internet in order to do so. Once you download the software update, it will restore. I had to do the same thing also.

does the PC have to be connected or the iphone??
If its the iphone then I can't cos I got no wifi
thats what I'm trying to fix .. that along with not being able to make calls and bluetooth.

Download the 1.1.4 firmware from this site if iTunes can't connect to the apple server. After you restore use iLiberty to unlock/jailbreak and re-flash the wi-fi/bluetooth.

found 1.1.4 did the shift restore choose 1.1.4 and got the second error could not restore then I get the BSD root: md0, major 2, minor0 thing scrolling ..

I can get out of that but its back cable connect to itunes restore mode

What can I do??

DFU restore to 1.1.4

nope won't work keep getting the second error message

tried it with itunes and ziphone shift choose FW seemed like it went through the motions right through to verifying, and when it seemed like it was going to pop up ..... complete..... the 2nd error came up.

So as i understand i need to restore it in order to virgin it

And restore it to be able to use it at all..

I also got IMEI unknowen and ICCID Unknowen

Are you restoring from recovery mode (Cable + iTunes logo) or DFU (Black screen)

tried both at different times, still got those errors

Any suggestions???
