Iphone help...I dont know what to do

I have an iphone 4gb. It has been unlocked, but now I want to have the phone returned to factory settings. When I turn the phone on it says, "Incorrect Sim Insert an unlocked and valid SIM to activate Iphone. I don't know what to do. I sold it on ebay as an unlocked phone, but the person said that they could not use it. If someone could point me in the right direction, i would really appreciate it.

I think u might have forgotten to replace the lockdown file with a patched one. If that is the case it's a easy fix. Figured out what FW it is and have him download that patch and upload it accordingly.

I tried what you said, but it still didn't work. Is there a way that I can reset it so that it is back to like out of the box status?

I'm assuming your either on 1.1.1 firmware. Follow this guide to downgrade the base-band to 1.0.2 factory state.
