doesn't the iphone only have one speaker? - sound only comes from one side of my phone - and I havn't noticed that it has been stuck to one channel (left/right). I presumed Applie put the holes at the bottom on both sides to keep it pretty.

After I started the topic, I found the iPhone getting started guide from Apple, and realized the meaninglessness of this thread lol. Yep, one speaker, one mic. Kinda weird that the mic is on the bottom of the phone though, isn't it? Not that you talk directly in it- As we see on most mobiles...

All Treos, which I also used to use, have the Mic on the bottom as well. The Mic doesn't have to be in line with your mouth in order to work, just look at bluetooth headsets.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

Oh I know... I was just thinking out loud lol. It actually works better, because you don't get the 'Hey I'm talking and breathing into the microphone, can you hear me?' effect.

Also, my point was looking at most mobile phones, be them candybar, flip, slider; a lot of the 'cheaper' made phones have the mic right on the bottom part of the keypad. Not all, but I'd say a large amount, if not a majority.
