I was wondering, is there any possible way to restore an iphone to original factory settings without using the docking cable (like, via wifi or something). I am having a strange mount/dismount issue with my iPhone (among other problems) and I need to get it restored to factory settings before I ship it back to Apple for them to repair it. (As they probably won't work on it since it is jailbroken and has apps installed... Right?)
Just an update for anyone that cares, although you probably don't:
By the time the box came for my iPhone to ship to Apple, it was so fried it wouldn't even respond to being plugged in (wouldn't turn on at all) so I don't think they ever were able to see that it was jailbroken and customized. They replaced it with a 4gig iPhone. I was hoping they were out of 4gigs by now, but alas, they weren't :-(

Not without connecting, no. When you connect, and hold down Home and Sleep, it doesn't work to get restored through iTunes?.

Try getting in restore mode by connecting it to a wall outlet, like you charging it.

It has been plugged into a wall outlet for the last 45 minutes +. It isn't responding to any combination of button presses. It's acting quite strangely. Sometimes it responds, sometimes it doesn't. Last night I eventually got it to respond, had it in recovery mode, but when it gets plugged into a computer it just power cycles itself over and over and won't restore.
