If it is a legitimate iphone then take it back to the place you bought it but if its not then you will be charged probably lots but try talking to somebody at O2 or apple uk.

Thanks but not really what I asked was it? If I had an o2 phone I wouldn't be asking this question. Plus doubt I would be on this site.
So if anyone can recommend a company that does iphone repairs in the UK that would be great.

id like to know a reputable company that fixes iphones too.
my screen is flickering is white with flickering coloured lines.
it seems that if i push the top righthand side where the black part i (right of the ear speaker) it gets rid of the flickering. but it comes back randomly and is very annoying.

still need help with the issue. the phone hasnt reset for since listing this problem but the flickering still occurs.
flickering happens randomly even when it is not being touched.
does anybody know if ill need to have my lcd replaced or just repaired? it seems like something is loose or theres pressure against something.
the flicker can be resolved temporarily if i push the top right hand side of the screen or the black button on the top right of the phone.

restore to stock firmware and insert a pay as you go o2 sim card, it will activate itself. you dont need the screen to do any of that. then take it to an apple store and ask them what they can do.
even if they dont straight replace the phone they would be the best place to go for repairs i would say. my friend cracked the screen of his 2g and apple wanted 150£ to fix it, but this was way bak in april before the release of the 3g.
my dad has got a 2g with the simplicity tariff, its pretty much identical to the 35£ iphone contract but only costs £20 a month for him. he got a replacement for a blown speaker at apple no problem. any o2 im card will do for support at apple.Last edited by reeko; 12-01-2008 at 12:33 PM. ok, ill try again. vital part of the step: RESTORE to STOCK firmware. not custom. this will leave it locked to official carriers and almost undetectable for apple. THEN put in an o2 pay as you go sim card, when it connects to itunes for the first time, it will activate itself and everything is golden to take it to apple for a replacement. any part of that not make sense?

it has also been coloured by colorware so im assuming the warranty would be voided. do you think apple would still accept it?
