My iPhone was unlocked/jailbroken/activated with ziphone. After I saw countless negative comments about ziphone I decided to reset the phone with itunes to factory settings and get the job done with iliberty+.

Everything was working fine and it still does. I installed tons of cool apps but ONE of them (i dont know which one could be infected with a virus or something)..

When I go to settings General > About it says Mikey's iPhone NOT THE NAME i signed up on iTunes,,???

What is going on..

Where did you buy your phone? Ebay? Apple? ATT?

The name normally comes from Itunes i believe and it is pulled from the name setup on your computer.

Correct me if I am wrong folks.

So if this is a used phone it could have been used normally by the original owner and the name would have transfered over. however, it should have reset if you did a full restore and pulled your info I would tihnk.

it's just a mod you downloaded that happened to replace the file that stores the phones name and do whatever it said that made u download it in the first place

edit: i know this because mine said Mikey's iPhone as well.

I was able to rename it to the original name. All good now.
