I have the same problem

I thought there is a problem with the software so I upgrade to 2.1 and it's the same problem.
Did you find a solution?

i have been having this problem too. oddly enough, it will be random parts of the screen that will be really unresponsive. sometimes, it will be the 4,5,6; other times it will be near the top of the screen (where the back and forward buttons often are).

i'm not sure if it's a hardware issue because it's not consistently unresponsive. but then again, sometimes the same area will be unresponsive, even after rebooting. other times, everything works fine.

i've been slowly uninstalling programs each time, to see if it eventually resolves. once i've gotten back to factory restore and the problem still exists, i'll prolly try contacting tech support.
