I have a jailbroken 8gb iphone. (jailbroken via jailbreakme.com) I installed apps and everything. But I did not get a carrier. So I decieded to activate it with AT&T.

Problem is, since i activated it with jailbreakme.com, the iTunes activation screen is gone.

Is there any way to 'deactivate' the phone?

I want to get back to the "activate with itunes" screen

bump for this issue, cause I did the same thing.

I jailbroke using the tiff exploit method (firmware 1.1.1) and installed a bunch of apps, now I cannot activate my phone in itunes so I can make calls. Basically now I have an expensive itouch.

huh? You don't activate it in itunes. You install anysim so you can make calls

Here is how I fixed.

You have to download the firmware from this site in the downloads section and do a shift + hold home button on the iphone to go into recovery mode. Then hold shift and click restore, and the pc will let you choose the file, route to the firmware file you just downloaded. This will take you back to out of the box state.

Then you activate your phone BEFORE jailbreak, as long as you going to use at&t.

After activation, go to www.jailbreakme.com and install appsnapp.

Now you are jailbroken.
