No Caller I.d.?!
i tried searching the forum but didnt find anything. im new to the iphone so excuse me if this is common. anyway, its a real freaking irritating not to have a proper caller ID for those in my phone book. what gives?

Do you Mean When you Call That it Doesn't Show you caller ID?

no, incoming calls. when someone (who is in my phone book)calls me their name doesnt come up on my screen just their number

Thats because you need to install Oversea's time formats that will tell your iPhone how to handle the numbers you receive and will automatically conect them with your contacts.
Search for "International Caller ID" or something similar.myRepoSpace.com - Easily create your own Cydia Repo.

In installer, go to the Tweeks (1.1.4) and install the "AppSupport Patch (1.1.4)"

thanks mattmac, ill give it a try. also, i realized it was when i used numbers copied directly from my sim card. numbers that i had inputted directly into my phone ID'd fine.
nope, didnt work. only the numbers i manually put in the phone show the name

the problem, for us calls, was that the number needed 1 before the area code in order for it to show up.
