Unlocked iPhone won't except sim cards

Hello iPhone enthusiasts,

I just recently purchased and iPhone from a friend of a friend. I used iliberty+ to unlock and jailbreak the phone. When I put my sim from my old iPhone into the new phone it didn't show any bars and it wouldn't connect to wifi. I tried putting my friends t-mobz sim into and it does the same thing.

I put the t-mobz in my old iPhone which is unlocked and it works fine. So i am sure that the iphone was unlocked properly.

So basically my only question is why won't the iPhone i just bought except sim cards? I appreciate any help i can get.

try unlocking with the sim you want to use in phone when you do it, as this may have suttin to do with it
