around 9:30 pm on wednesday this week they started pushing out the freakin 1.12 ; i had a client who purchased earlier than that time and received 1.11 then my next client purchased around 10 pm and they were 1.12 as I knew that the soho store did less volume than 5th ave i went there YESTERDAY at 4 PM and they were still pushing 1.11 serial numbers 43 and below a day after 5th ave had stopped; my client then returned the 1.12's and purchased 3 1.11's and thats that; BUT since he had hesitated earlier and we wanted more than 3 we went back to soho at 7:30 8pm and they were dishing out serial number 45 and 46 which are 1.12 cuz they were moving quickly. So to my knowledge both stores are out of 1.11's and we have to wait for the progressed 1.12 OTB unlock.

I was at the one in the GM building, 58th & 5th this past Wednesday and I happened to look at the demos on display. I never thought to look at the firmware. But I will tell you, this is a very high volume store. So there is a very good chance the latest firmware will be on the phone you buy.
edit: ok, the above person answered that one for you while I was actually typing the reply. So now I suggest you take a trip to another lower volume store. Maybe come to Long Island and visit Roosevelt Field or Walt Whitman.
