iPhones on eBay?
So what's the deal with buying iPhones on eBay?
What are the scams to looks out for? How much should a 16-Gig version one iphone cost? And once the 3G phone comes out do you think that price will drop considerably?
Also any good sellers in Canada that you've bought from?My current phone's toast and I want an iPhone!

Scam include selling iphone imitations. Buying iPhone on eBay is no different than buying anything else on eBay... it's a RISK. Look at the sellers feeback and rating. As far as the price is concerned just compare to retail prices. If it's used it will go for less.. if it's new it should go for retail.. if it's new and unlocked it will go for MORE than retail. As far as price drops are concerned.. .I would SPECULATE yes.. b/c first gen iphones will be outdated.
All of your questions were answered by common sense... not from my iPhone knowledge.

I bought mine on Ebay aswell and as long as you know what an iPhone looks like e.g iPhone is touch screen and not operated with a stylus e.t.c ......you'll be fine! And don't forget to check the sellers feedback and never buy outside ebay, always use paypal!

I sold my prior 3GB iPhone on ebay in less than 5 mins. no joke. Look out for feedback. Mine is 100%. Check for actual pics rather than internet photos.
