Thread: Bug in iPhone's cover flow?

  1. #1
Default Bug in iPhone's cover flow?
    Is anyone else experiencing this?

When in cover flow (iPhone in landscape orientation, on its side):

I'm playing track A then double squeeze on the headset control to go to track B, the cover stays on track A forever, even though track B has started playing. In fact, I could have gone to track D, E, etc., and the cover flow doesn't move!

Same problem occurs if track A just ends by itself (no action taken to go to the next track).

The problem doesn't happen when upright (portrait).

I've tested this over and over and have confirmed this is not just my imagination. Is this isolated to my iPhone, or is it happening to yours, too?

This is not a bug. Cover-flow does not correspond to the current song, you can browse all of cover flow while listening to one song. In contrast, when the iPhone is in potrait mode, the cover you see directly corresponds to the song that is playing. Good eye though

    OK, I misunderstood. Thanks given.

But wouldn't it be more intuitive if the covers switch to the new song playing, but still allow browsing thru covers? I just checked - that is how iTunes behaves. It makes more sense. So why does the iPhone work differently? At least Apple should make it an option maybe? Or just simply make iPhone's cover flow work the same way iTunes does.
