Lost my photos after I restored -- please help!

Hi Folks,

I had lost my photos that I took with my iPhone after I restored my iPhone. I do see one of my pictures as a wallpaper on my iphone, but when I check the wallpaper of photo albums, it's not there. It must be there, since I still see it, but can't find it in the UI. How can i retrieve my photos. Please help.

i think the first place to start looking is in the photo or camera folders. something like.
/Applications/MobileSlideShow-Camera
/Applications/MobileSlideShow-Photos

sorry. i'm still new to this. where do i find that folder? Do I need to use iPhoneInterface?

Are you on a Mac? Did you not have them synced to iPhoto?

i'm on a mac, but i didn't get it synced from my iphone. the pictures are not on my mac.

If you have never backed up your photos, then you have lost them. iTunes assumes you sync your photos when it restores, and syncs up the new phone with your photos from iPhoto.

they must be on my iphone because I still see it as my wallpaper. But, when I look at my wallpaper folder or any other photo albums on my iphone, they're not there.

Anyone have any idea how i can hack it from my iphone?
