Default talk over wifi like t-mobile?

so is there anyone working on this project? i am wondering if it is possible to have the iphone operate like many of the new t-mobile phones that allow you to talk over wifi. and if anyone is working on this project already? if so can you point me in their direction? i am very interested in this project. and would love to try and contribute.

So far no. Well, not completely. A few web based applications have gotten Skype running haphazardly. Further developments in the future...

Any recent news on this? I just unlocked my iPhone and switched to T-Mobile but the service in my house pretty much sucks. I'd love to use the @Home hotspot for free wi-fi calling.

Use Siphon in combination with Insomnia and Backgrounder on a Jailbroken iPhone. Also see my other post about editing a .plist file to remove the 30 minute wifi disconnect.

VoIP calls are so much better than cellular! At least when the wifi stays connected . . .
