Screen unresponsive after turning phone off and then on

Ive had this problem now for awhile. What happens is when I power the phone off then back on you can open any application but once in there anything you touch is unresponsive. Then i have to reset the phone by holding the home and power button. Also after a reset my edge doesnt work. Thats why I have to do it 3 or 4 times before its back to normal. Im on 1.1.4 Locked with ziphone 2.6b jailbreak. I had problems on 1.1.3 so I figured maybe 1.1.4 would be different. If anyone else thats having this problem and has a solution please let me know because I cant even turn my phone without having to mess with it for 10 minutes to get it back to normal.
