Ok, if i switch my iphone off my laptop can access my wireless network. Is this to do with Ziphone and fixed Mac address. Is there a workaround for this? i suppose i could live with it

Ziphone doesn't access your phone wirelessly so it doesn't touch the drivers. It's unrelated.

Unless the MAC address of the iPhone is the same as another device in the vicinity. (all iPhones that have used the WiFi fix will have the same MAC address unless changed back). If that's the case, then you have a problem.
