Hey guys,

Yesterday I got home from work and decided to winpwn my iphone. I was pretty tired wich probably factored into my total idiocy.
Ok, here is the epic blunder summed into one line:
I winpwned my iphone with iPod touch firmware.
There i said it.

Basicly, am I as screwed as I deserve to be or is there a way out of this rabbithole? As it is now my iphone won't restore in iTunes at all, the screen is totally black and winpwning with the correct firmware wants the phone to reboot wich seems pretty hard to get it to do considering I seem to lack to input.

Any advice except get a 16gig?

have you tried entering hardware DFU mode and restoring with iTunes?

1) Start iTunes and plug the phone in. (iTunes may not necessarily detect it)
2) With the phone powered on, hold both the POWER and HOME buttons for
seven seconds. The screen should turn black.
3) Wait two seconds while the screen is black and release the POWER button
while still holding the HOME button.
4) The screen will remain black, but after a few more seconds iTunes will
detect the phone in recovery mode.
5) Release the HOME button and proceed to restore firmware with iTunes.
