Question iphone FW 1.1.1 volume issue !
    hi,

i'm currenly using iphone FW 1.1.1 whch has been unlocked successfully.
and i have no problem with it except the low volume issue

if im not wrong, ReVan has released a solution for iphone FW 1.0.2 that will help increase the volume alot louder.

but according to him, this method cannot be applied to the new FW 1.1.1 because one of the 3 files has been re-coded by apple.

i hope you guys soon find out a solution for this issue with an iphone FW 1.1.1

    thx in advance

    tony

Did this happen just after you unlocked? Try plugging in your headset and unplugging it again. The iPhone thinks that a headset is attached and so muzzles the speakers. This fix worked for some. Worth a shot.

I just jailbroke 1.1.1. and my volume is low. on 1.0.2 I had used the fix available from here ( ..celestial.plist and SystemSoundMaximumVolume) was hoping I could just reapply but seesms like that's a no go.

    Default iVolume1.3 fine with 1.1.1
Maybe apple completely recoded one of the files, but iVolume1.3 still works on firmware 1.1.1. I installed it on several iPhones running 1.1.1 that had the volume level reduced after various jailbreak methods. The AppSnapp/AnySIM1.1 jalibreak/activate/unlock method seems to leave the volume nice and loud though so I'm not installing the iVolume files anymore, but I can tell you for sure they do improve volume on 1.1.1 if it is low and it doesn't mess anything up (at least not as far as I could tell).

ya the 1.1.1. files seem to be different I instaled Ivolume 1.1 , 1.2 and 1.3 and the only one that did anything was 1.1 and that just made the keypad dialer louder. Someone please find the files i need to edit!!!

The Celestial Framework or the audio files for the iPhone have been re-codded in v1.1.1, hence the iVolume MOD is not advised to be used on v1.1.1

I personally feel the volume on v1.1.1 is quite good enough and doest need to be any louder since the phone has just ONE speaker. Increasing sound volume would tear the sound making it audibly unbearable.

In your case, if you've a iPhone casing see if one of the straps is not covering the speaker on the left.

Secondly, press the volume buttons on the left of your phone to maximize the volume. You can repeat this while your on Speaker Phone and Receiver mode

Haha, that's also because there is no speaker on the right, it's a microphone.

But in actual there are two why only one is working its ridiculous?? It really sucks man. What's the purpose of the second one just to show that we are providing two and only one of them will work???

Ummm I don't know about you and where you got your "extra special iphone", but mine didn't come with a manual, just a crappy stupi booklet talking abou the iPhone features and why they don't do what normal phones do.

I wanted to bump this thread (because my 1.1.1 speaker volume is awfully low) and pop in the discussion about iPhone manual.
Yes, there is an iPhone manual and it's located here:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/iPhone_User_Guide.pdf

...and if anyone comes up with a solution for speaker volume on 1.1.1 we'd appreciate it.
