Getting OS X to do what I want when I connect the phone
I'm using OS X 10.5.2, iTunes 7.6.2, iPhoto 7.1.1 and iPhone 1.1.4.
First and most importantly, does anyone know how to stop the iTunes window popping up when I connect the phone? I don't mind if it runs as I need it to sync, but it annoys me when I have to close the iTunes window each time I connect the phone because I don't actually USE the program. I don't mind having it running in the background or sitting in the dock though.
Second, does anyone know how, when I connect the phone, I can get iPhoto to launch, grab the new photos from it, then quit? I just want the photos off there and I don't want to do it manually.
iTunes
1) Go to System Preferences on your MAC
2) Select Accounts
3) Unlock the padlock and authenticate
4) Select Login Items
5) Remove Itunes Helper
iPhoto
It should launch automatically when there is an image in the media directory. If that is not happening, check your General Settings on iPhoto and make sure the setting "Connecting camera opens: iPhoto" is selected.
