Question Has This Happened To You??

Hi All, Not sure how this happened & would love some advice to fix it Please!!

When connecting phone to itunes, i see in the Capacity (7.24) GB at bottom of main screen that i have 2.69 GB of Audio, 4.6MB photos, Other at a Whopping 3.44 GB & 1.11 GB of free space.

    But on iphone ABOUT page tells a different story,485 Songs,0 Video's and 0 Photo's.

My question, that i would love to know the answer to is..

What is "other" on itunes?? can i remove this 3.44 GB of whatever is in there!

I am using 1.0.2 bought the phone of ebay(unlocked unsure what method was used) a few months ago and to date this i my first real issue.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks to all,, on a wonderfull job on this site, Have learnt a thing or 2, but this 1 has stumpted me.

    Cheers,

Are you saying you actually recovered space? Or just that iTunes' stats are now accurate?

No not at all,,, not sure what had happen but both itunes and phone were stating i had less than 800mb of space left, with only 400 odd songs no photo's or vids,, something very strange happened... and lost a lot of free space, but no back in order.
