So my 8g that I had for about 3 weeks completely stopped working yesterday. My girlfriend was using it while I was driving, it froze and was never able to recover. The screen went black and did not respond to a reset. I drove immediately to the apple store on the way home and they tried to sync, etc with no luck. They gave me a replacement unit after waiting about an hour because I didn't have an appointment.

The defective unit stuck on the apple logo bootup screen and did not respond to sync. Any other reported issuses like this?
